It’s a dream of ours to be able to make a living from our jewelry so we like to support other artisans and craftspeople who are living their dream. Handmade goods tell a story and they carry the energy of the person (or people) that made them.

I might pack a picnic, and become inspired at that moment by butterflies. I might be traveling in greece and become inspired by greeces architectural design asthetic. Or I might flip thru a magazine and become overwhelmed by a series of colors that inspire me to use them in a piece.

I try to take care of the environment as much as possible, I use a lot of recycled and natural materials and processes, and my bicycle takes me anywhere I need to go.

I had a car accident back in 2004, and I was bored, and mom encouraged me to start doing something to pass along the time. I started making wedding crafts etc and then I just slid into making soaps for myself in my kitchen. From there I started selling online at Ebay in 2005, and now in 2011 I still love making my delicious and addictive bath products and selling them all over the US!

They are usually made by people who care about craftsmanship. Craftsmanship is a word that means very little to most these days. Houses go up in weeks as well as buildings and there usually isn’t anything to give it “character”. Handmade items are different. The crafter takes the time to make it as beautifully as possible because they have to put their stamp on it personally.

Handmade goods really stand out from the mass produced for me – just by the nature of the handmade process every piece is unique, and small imperfections add to the character.
You can also find some fantastic, unusual things design wise that are of fantastic quality – you know that the person making these things really cares.
