Random Facts About You?

I am only 5' tall and a natural blonde!

I studied art history in college and would love to go to Rome someday to see some of great works of art that I studied!

I secretly love that both my kids look just like me!

I love Carmello Candy Bars!

What got you started crafting?

I have always loved to be crafty and create things! I studied graphic design in college and always loved to make something for someone. I started selling on Etsy when I realized that I could sell the hairbows and headbands that I was making for my daughter!

What is your source of inspiration?

I am inspired by so many things! The seasons, colors of fabrics, and my daughter's closet is full of ideas!

What have you made recently?

This past month I have added crochet flower headbands to my shop! I was inspired to add these cute flowers to my shop when I saw some at a department store. They looked like they were mass produced and were a little rough looking. I knew that I could make some that would be well made with plenty of attention to detail! I bought some great 100% cotton yarn and found some patterns and before long my daughter had a cute crochet flower! I soon added them to my shop and have been adding more slowly. Since I crochet them myself, I take the time to make sure they look perfect! My daughter plays with the ones that aren't up to par and has a little crochet flower garden! Since all my items are handmade I make sure each piece is perfect and if I wouldn't put it in my own daughter's hair, then it doesn't get listed in my shop!

Where do you sell your crafts presently?

I currently sell all my items on Etsy!

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

I am so proud that my items are handmade. Each item that I make is made with a great attention to detail and a lot of love. I will not sell an item that I would not put on my own daughter!

My grandmother used to try and teach me when I was little, but I could just never pick it up. I really wanted to learn to do something that she loved doing. I wish everyday she was here still to teach me, but I can feel her presence everytime I work on a crochet project.

Although my daughter is the inspiration behind everything, she really is what DRIVES me to do what I’m doing. And of course, I couldn’t do any of it without my husband.
