What got you started crafting?

Mom taught me to sew when I was little. I never really did anything with it until after my kids were past the baby stage. I started making bags primarily........people caught wind of it and liked the few I had made. Soon I was getting custom orders, and now I have my own little business that I love!

What is your source of inspiration?

What have you made recently?

I recently made a big messenger bag. Nothing fancy but I did learn a new skill with it. I learned to put zippered pockets on the inside of my bags! Might not seem big, but it's something I've wanted to learn for a long time and finally did it! I love a bag with lots of pockets and I particularly like zippered pockets!

Where do you sell your crafts presently?

I sell my crafts at local shows, farmers markets, word of mouth, and on Etsy:)

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

It's made with the love and care you don't get from a factory, mass produced product. I also love to support other handmade crafters........it's what keeps us going. There's also something gratifying about being able to pay some bills doing something you absolutely love!
