Today’s featured crafter is visiting us all the way from Hungary. Welcome Judit – enjoy your stay!
Judit Wild
I have climbed up to a few volcanoes, and I loved it!
My favourite piece in my wardrobe is my orange coat.
I have a teddy bear, and he is just half year younger than me.
My favourite quote is: "You get in life what you have the courage to ask for."
What got you started crafting?
I dont know. It just happened, and since then I let it happen every day.
What is your source of inspiration?
Mostly everything: houses in the city, films, art history, clothes, colors, interesting forms etc.
What have you made recently?
I launched a new line called "Swapflowers" a few months ago. It consists of a "base" flower, and an extra flower that you can put on the base with a snap closure. It is special, because with the help of the snap closure you can always change the color of the middle flower, so it can match any kind of clothes.
you can see them on my blog (scroll down for English text).
I started to design it more than a year ago, and it took me a year to figure out how to make a necklace that can be used with many clothes, which is variable. The line is a result of a cooperation with a Hungarian leather firm, called LAONI Leather Design.
You can see a lot of Swapflowers (I have 2 types of necklaces, cuff, brooch and ring).
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
Concerning Online selling, I sell them on etsy, and on a Hungarian site similar to etsy.
Also, we have a monthly artist fair in Budapest, and I am a regular seller there.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Well, I like to make them :-)
And I really respect those who put time and energy into making something.
