I remember walking through museums when I was young and admiring all the beautiful work I saw there and wanting to be able to create something like that. I drove my mother crazy painting and drawing on everything I could find.

Inspiration is something I don’t really believe much at all. I have references, like painters and designers but most of all, any random image on a magazine or real life can be the source of some drawings I’ve done. Anything can be pretty much inspiring to me.

There is no singular source of inspiration. I’m inspired by so much! I love people watching, so observing everyday situations is a great source of inspiration to me. All of my work starts from observational drawing too, so this is an essential step in my process. Other sources of inspiration include fabrics, colours, films, fashion, blogs, books, fellow crafters and artists, the list is endless!

Being creatives professionally we love seeing products that come from the artist/designer directly. We feel it has more heart and soul to it and you know that even though you just got it yourself – the item already has a long history behind it. It hasn’t just been spat out one end of a factory along with thousands of other just like it.

…I love to knit…I adore coffee…I almost named my dog after two of my favorite things….Mochi, or Lisbeth Salender. (turns out her name is Constance.)…I live in a modest area, close to all of my friends. I find that walking to your friends places is a luxury…I dontt know how to drive…

I’ve been crafting every since daycare when I won a drawing contest! I think I won a dime, or was it a quarter I can’t remember! Maybe I’m telling my age. I think I’ve tried just about everything within my reach except crochet which I think I wouldn’t have the patience for!

As crazy as it may sound, I am inspired by paper, wood, metal, as well as other creative people, traveling, old books, luchadors, and some of the artists I love (Claire Oswalt, Gregory Crewdson).

Like many artists, my mind is literally always reeling. I am constantly bombarded with thoughts and ideas for a new piece. Though it may seem counterproductive, coffee actually seems to slow the incoming ideas, though I sometimes wonder if they just get shoved out of the way so quickly that they simply become intangible.
