I make handmade, artisan soap with the freshest ingredients. I use coconut, palm kernel, olive oil and castor in my soaps. This soap is gentle on your skin. Once you try handemade soap you won’t go back to regular store bought.

I blog about my unique business model. Currently I’m working on a series about all the uses of lye soap that customers have shared with me. I also write about Appalachian culture, language, native plants, folk remedies, music, and my Appalachian ancestors. Oh, I also write about my soap, too!

I had a car accident back in 2004, and I was bored, and mom encouraged me to start doing something to pass along the time. I started making wedding crafts etc and then I just slid into making soaps for myself in my kitchen. From there I started selling online at Ebay in 2005, and now in 2011 I still love making my delicious and addictive bath products and selling them all over the US!

My favorite materials are natural fibers – 100% organically grown cotton, hand spun and hand dyed wool and alpaca.

All my soaps are made using the cold process method of soapmaking. Cold Process means that the oils are not subjected to external heat (the only heat comes from a chemical reaction called saponification.) The texture of cold process seems to me like the finest texture and quality of soap. I also favor more natural colorants such as clays, activated charcoal or sometimes; just the color the oils themselves provide.
One of my favorite soaps that I make is-“Orange Honey Drizzle with Oats-A generous drizzle of aromatic Citrus Honey and Sweet Orange essential oil mingle with hand ground colloidal oats; this wholesome soap is like breakfast for your skin.” I think it exemplifies my style and what I like about soap. It’s wholesome and real, it looks beautiful, it smells wonderful and it makes your skin feel amazing.
