I am a cat-person. When one of my work colleagues was asked what kind of animal I am, he said I was like a cat: super friendly at times, and therefore nearly irresistible, but at other times rather aloof. I suppose that’s true. Sometimes I’m in a hurry so I don’t stop to chat! (Especially when it’s nap-time for my little one, I’m just racing home.)

There’s so many quilts to be sewn! I have the next 4 quilts all planned in my head, with three of them cut out and ready to go already.

I’ve recently discovered Jelly Rolls and quilting with them. I find it’s a quick and easy way to quilt, and a great way to use up my stash of tiny strips.

I love fabric, anything different so i can offer a unique piece of work.

I make more Baby Blanky’s than anything. Early Learning is important were newborns are concerned. I like to think i have played a part, in encouraging a baby to learn from the Baby Blanky’s I make. I add color and pattern with added ribbons, and always add a twist – which helps to make my items stand out.

I always work on more than one project at a time.  I just finished making a play mat for a special new baby and am working on quite a few new quilts.  It seems that all of my best friends are going to be having their first babies at about the same time, so I’m very busy designing and making their quilts!

Not Your Grandma’s Quilt

I’m a 3rd (maybe 4th?) generation quilter. While my mother and grandmother prefer to hand-quilt, I can’t sit still for that long! I do all my work by machine, and my quilts are drastically different from theirs. I use bold prints and colors, often mixing patterns–these are not your grandma’s quilts!
