I try to update every few days not only with my adventures of trying to have an Etsy shop, but I also promote other sellers, posts photos of my kitties, share my favorite recipes and pass on any stupid or entertaining things I find while browsing the internet. Check it out!

I'm a geek for a good Excel spreadsheet. I love math and organizing and calculating data.
I have 3 kitties that are like my children (since I don't have any of those yet). They all have multiple nicknames.
My husband and I have been together since we were 16.
I'm from Chicago, currently live in Los Angeles and soon will be moving to Portland. We never stay put for long!
What got you started crafting?
My mom made these amazing tissue paper flowers for my bridal shower that were a huge hit. After my wedding I wanted to keep my bridal bouquet as a momento, but they didn't preserve correctly and just got wilted and moldy. A few years later while trying to figure out how to bring in some extra cash, I thought about trying to create flowers that brides could treasure not only on their wedding day but years later.
What is your source of inspiration?
All of the gorgeous real life flowers! Currently I only make roses but I'm working on branching out to other amazing flowers shortly.
What have you made recently?
I recently was looking at wedding color trends for 2011 and lilac is one of the "hot colors". The article said to pair it with a hint of sky blue. I thought those were odd colors to put together, but I created a bridal bouquet mixing a ton of lilac roses with just a few sky blue and it turned out gorgeous. Now I understand how they can be so great together!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell on Etsy, as well as on Artfire.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I think handmade items are more personal. There is a story behind the item, whether it be the story of the crafter and how they came to be a crafter, or journey of how the item was made. "Handmade with love", the artist puts their time, energy and soul into it. I doubt a machine in a factory somewhere could say that.
