My motto is Music from a Keyless Piano. My desk is the skeleton of a piano – no keys but it still makes music and functions well. It is a handmade treasure.

I jump daily to build bone density.

I feel that buying locally, handmade, quality work is a pleasure.



What got you started crafting?

The first time I saw someone throw on the wheel and watched clay move in opposition to gravity I loved it.



What is your source of inspiration?

I just love the process of making & solving the puzzle of construction.



What have you made recently?

I am almost finished with a set of dinnerware in white and brown stoneware and am working on a blue and red ant sculpture in tin.





Where do you sell your crafts presently?

Pottery: at local craft shows, in my pottery room and at LaGra Salon and Day Spa in Wellsville, the Canacadea Country Store in Alfred Station

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

I know that buying handmade keeps money traveling through a local economy and serving many people with the same dollar. I also feel that there is something timeless and human in creating well made, useful and lovely things.
