Knitted Newborn Photoprops and More
I started crafting a very young age. I remember sewing buttons on things while my mother made my sister and my clothes and crocheted countless blankets. My father is a home-builder/cabinet-maker/vintage-car restorer. I quickly developed a love for making things; hats, bags, quilts, pies, you name it.

What got you started crafting?
I started crafting a very young age. I remember sewing buttons on things while my mother made my sister and my clothes and crocheted countless blankets. My father is a home-builder/cabinet-maker/vintage-car restorer. I quickly developed a love for making things; hats, bags, quilts, pies, you name it.
What is your source of inspiration?
I am inspired by the past. What I consider a craft and a hobby used to be a necessary part of a woman's life, and still is in many parts of the world. I am inspired by women who make beautiful things with little or no time to do so.
What have you made recently?
I have just finished a crocheted baby nest. I have not crocheted in years and had to call my mother about four times to get it finished!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I currently sell on Etsy.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Everything we own has a story. Some stories are better than others. An old fruit crate used to hold vinyl albums tells a better story than something ordered pre-fab from a catalog. I prefer the feel of a knit dishcloth to that of one bought in a department store.
