My grandmother used to try and teach me when I was little, but I could just never pick it up. I really wanted to learn to do something that she loved doing. I wish everyday she was here still to teach me, but I can feel her presence everytime I work on a crochet project.

Random facts about me? I am a little more than slightly addicted to using cloth diapers, couponing, and crocheting and making other crafts. I LOVE my garden. I can't stand to be inside, and if I stay inside to long, I start to go a little crazy. I like doing things that are completely insane, one of which includes climbing Mt. St. Helens, without training. And yes, I actually made it all the way to the top, and back down again in 14 hrs!!
What got you started crafting?
I got started crafting after my daughter was born. I was always thinking of things I wanted to get for her, and I am not one to go out and buy things, so little by little, I learned to make all sorts of items, which then got me started on etsy. After being on etsy a while, my mom joined my shop with me, so she could offer some of her beautiful photography.
What is your source of inspiration?
My biggest source of inspiration was my daughter. She got me started on blankets and other baby accessories. Then I decided to learn to crochet. My grandmother used to try and teach me when I was little, but I could just never pick it up. I really wanted to learn to do something that she loved doing. I wish everyday she was here still to teach me, but I can feel her presence everytime I work on a crochet project.
What have you made recently?
Recently, I have been working on a lot of headbands. They are such a cute accessory, and are great for all ages. Another thing we have recently added is notecards. These are one of a kind, and so cute for any occasion.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell all my crafts on etsy.com. I also love to use them for myself and my daughter and also give them to friends, who are great advertisement for me.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I think it is important to buy handmade goods. Yes, it does cost a little bit more, but I think you are getting a better quality product when buying handmade, because most artists take a lot of pride in their work, and work really hard to make it perfect.
