A beautiful insomniac inspired by vampires, Roberta always made handcrafted jewlery as a hobby, but didn’t make it her full time work until recently. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your unique perspective on vintage costume jewelry, we’re looking forward to your Hopera (jewels inspired by the Opera) project coming in September!
I worked for twelve years as production designer and set decorator.
I love vampires stories and gothic tales.
Regularly suffer from insomnia so as not to lose work time I spend all night making jewels.
I am surprised when I receive compliments.
What got you started crafting?
I always made handicrafts as a hobby, but last year I decided to leave my main job and invent another because of the economic crisis.
What is your source of inspiration?
Everything! A book, a picture, a tale. Usually I don't make any sketches for my jewels - they are born in my mind as a dream that become true!
What have you made recently?
I've recently realized a Collection for Hot!Couture by Sara di Salvo, and I attended her fashion show which was held in July in Rome during the fashion week
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
Through a dense network participation in markets and Vintage Crafts, and website, the production of jewelry was very well received by the public and collects an unexpected success.
La Bottega has five shops on line, and you can click the link below to visit our main store.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Because it is something that makes me happy, and I like to think my handmade jewelry also makes others happy.
