Today’s crafter specializes in one of a kind original art works with absolutely NO PRINTS or DUPLICATIONS of any kind!
And here’s why:
“I don’t believe in prints, I personally don’t care to buy them and would never want to sell them, I feel that everybody deserves to have an original piece of art rather then a copy of it so that is all I sell in my shop and always will, when you buy a piece of my art, it is a guarantee that that is the only one like it anywhere.”

~ I was diagnosed at 3 yrs of age with a very rare and terminal kind of cancer and given only a 10% chance to survive by the doctors, but I survived and therefore donate a portion of every sale of my art to The Canadian Cancer Society
~ I LOVE HI FRUCTOSE magazine and have a life goal to one day be a featured artist in it.
~ I went to college for Fashion Design but found out that the fine arts were really my passion and have never looked back.
~ I LOVE the color pink, like really love it, my house is pink, my studio is painted completely in pink, I wear just about always all pink, etc etc.
What got you started crafting?
I have always loved arts and craft time as long as I can ever remember. I always knew as a child that that is how I wanted to spend the rest of my life as well. As I got older in my teens I thought that I wanted to pursue a career in Fashion Design as I was getting really into making and designing my own clothes, well at the same time I was always working on a painting in my spare time. Althought I went through college in a breeze and I did enjoy the fashion design, I did discover that not quite as passionately as I LOVE to just paint. If I am not painting I am thinking about a painting, everything I look at, I look at it as if I was painting it. I couldn't imagine doing anything else!
What is your source of inspiration?
I find inspiration in everything, nature, music, aromas. I use all my senses for inspiration and when I paint I always set the mood, a scented candle or an insense, some old records on the record player and then I go to work. Sometimes just being out in nature walking my dog and the scent of some flowers or berries, anything out in the wild like that will spike ideas for a painting.
What have you made recently?
I recently finished a painting of my own rendering of Little Miss Muffet. I completed the piece with Lixuitex professional heavy body acrylics, I find that these are the finest quality paints that I have ever used and give the best and brightest most vibrant colors. I did this painting on a 16" x 12" canvas panel. The color scheme of this piece is black, gray and purple and features Little Miss Muffet in a beautiful black and purple dress that laces up the front, purple and black striped stockings. She has a tatoo of a a spiderweb on her left shoulder that wraps around down her left arm and across her back and over her right shoulder. She has shoulder length purple hair and a pretty black and purple lace choker with a big purple jewel. She is sitting under an odd swirly tree and in the background there is a big spiderweb with a big black and purple striped spider keeping her company. The whole piece is in what I feel to be my personal style and gives Little Miss Muffet a bit more of a cool dark look to her.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell my art on Etsy as well as locally out of my studio, I do shows all year round however it does slow down in the winter alot, usually one or 2 during the christmas holidays but during spring summer and even fall, tons of local shows and festivals.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I would prefer to always choose handmade over big manufacturer anyday as I feel the quality is better and I would rather support a handmade artist rather then the big box company any day. I feel that with these big companies the quality of the product is compromised and you just don't get any where near the same quality as you do from buying handmade.
