It still fascinates me to hear from people all over the world who discovers my work made by my two bare hands! I enjoy every small process of creating handmade products.
1. I have been knitter since age 4!
2. I have entirely taught myself how to crochet, and I design all my patterns. Hopefully this makes my design different from many others out there.
3. I am a graduate architect.
4. I am a new mum of a baby daughter who just had her first birthday last week.
What got you started crafting?
I am from a very creative family full of artists, who create things for living, and create some more things for fun. Growing up, I was never told not to draw on the walls at home. Instead, my mum would cover all empty walls I could reach with white papers for me to draw on. With plenty of inspirations and encouragement, I have always been on some sort of art project. Crafting, drawing, knitting, making things are like breathing air to me.
What is your source of inspiration?
People around me. Amazing artists, crafters and makers I can't stop discovering everyday.
What have you made recently?
I recently completed a one of kind crocheted house shoes with felted embellishments. I cherish my one of a kind items as they give me more freedom to be creative. Being interrupted every raw I am crocheting to write down the pattern I am working on is not so much fun!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I have two online shop. First and main one being mt Etsy shop and the other through a New Zealand based site called Felt.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
It still fascinates me to hear from people all over the world who discovers my work made by my two bare hands! I enjoy every small process of creating handmade products. Talking to people from places I never been to, carefully sizing up the shoes thinking about the person who will wear them, packaging, and even visiting post shop excites me!
