I think that the mass produced products will always lack the heart, soul and uniqueness that the handmade creations embody.
Miri Shilo
-I volunteer at a no kill cats shelter in new york city called kittykind.
-My favorite color combination is black and white.
-My favorite desert is cannoli.
-My favorite quote is: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Albert Einstein.
What got you started crafting?
Ever since I can remember myself, I've always been creating. Whether it was cutting fabrics to make clothes, drawing, or making craft foam stamps I have always had the inexplicable urge to create.
What is your source of inspiration?
My inspiration comes from watching and taking pictures of my cats, from visiting fabric stores and from people watching, which is very easy to do living in new york city.
What have you made recently?
My latest creation is a hand sewn, hand printed faux leather tote bag.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
Currently I sell my crafts online, in my ETSY shop, and I have plans to be selling at craft fairs in the Summer.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I think that the mass produced products will always lack the heart, soul and uniqueness that the handmade creations embody.
