All of my pieces are one of a kind, made using jewelry and supplies that I find in antique/resale/thrift shops and at estate sales. Everything is deconstructed and the different bits and pieces are used to design and create new items with a modern-vintage feel to them. The idea of taking things that were once treasured but now are unwanted or broken and creating new pieces out of them really appeals to me.
my inspiration is constantly fueled by mothering. not just the act of mothering, though. everything that comes along with being a mom – BIRTH, breastfeeding, preparing meals, creating a home, observing the innocence of my children. these things have truly inspired me and transformed my ability to be creative.
When you by handmade, you are supporting a living breathing individual and their ambitions. Being a consumer myself, I find it to be a very fulfilling way to shop. Our money has a voice, and what we purchase with that money has influence. I would much rather spend my hard earned cash on one of a kind hand made goodies. The quality is higher, plus it’s wonderful to know there will never be another piece exactly exactly alike.
