Bespoke Vibrant Cute Baby Bedding

I would love to learn how to take better quality photographs, I often struggle to obtain a picture that I am truly happy with and feel that my images don’t do my creations justice!

Joyful stitches: elegant to playful

I am a cat-person. When one of my work colleagues was asked what kind of animal I am, he said I was like a cat: super friendly at times, and therefore nearly irresistible, but at other times rather aloof. I suppose that’s true. Sometimes I’m in a hurry so I don’t stop to chat! (Especially when it’s nap-time for my little one, I’m just racing home.)

There’s so many quilts to be sewn! I have the next 4 quilts all planned in my head, with three of them cut out and ready to go already.

I’ve recently discovered Jelly Rolls and quilting with them. I find it’s a quick and easy way to quilt, and a great way to use up my stash of tiny strips.

Modern Chic Meets Vintage

Modern Chic Meets Vintage

My mother taught me how to be thrifty at a young age. Now, I love to blend vintage materials with modern chic designs. I get inspiration from my time living in Malawi, the hills of Tennessee, and the many cities I’ve visited.

Doodlin’ With My Sewing Machine

Life’s Quilt by Olive Woodward MacDonald:

Our memories hold in life much that is sad, discouraging and difficult
but also much that is happy, hopeful and fulfilling.
Each memory is a patch in Life’s Quilt.
The light squares are the happy and the dark represent the sad.
So we just have to rest under it as a whole
and we will be warm and comfortable
and taken altogether it won’t be too heavy.

Vintage Modern Upcycled Quilts

I always work on more than one project at a time.  I just finished making a play mat for a special new baby and am working on quite a few new quilts.  It seems that all of my best friends are going to be having their first babies at about the same time, so I’m very busy designing and making their quilts!

Celebrating a Fabric Love Affair

As always, I love reading the little tidbits you all put into the odd-n-ends section of the featured crafter applications.

Janet included this disclaimer with hers – “I just got up and am only on my first cup of coffee so I hope my answers made sense. I’m kind of bleary eyed so I don’t want to edit to death or I will never send this. :)”

Don’t worry the answers are PERFECT!

Not Your Grandma’s Quilt

Not Your Grandma’s Quilt

I’m a 3rd (maybe 4th?) generation quilter. While my mother and grandmother prefer to hand-quilt, I can’t sit still for that long! I do all my work by machine, and my quilts are drastically different from theirs. I use bold prints and colors, often mixing patterns–these are not your grandma’s quilts!
