Why Handmade??
I like the thought that I am supporting a family! I know that each and every time a person purchases a piece from store, they help my family! And I’d like to think that every time I choose to pay more and buy handmade, that I’m helping a family….just like they are helping me!

What got you started crafting?
Being a SAHM(stay at home Mom) is NOT easy! Some days I'm tempted to put 'For Sale' signs on my older 2 boys's heads and have them sit on the front porch! LOL! Actually, that's not quite true...some days the sign would say, "Free to good home"! Sooooo, in my need to retain some sanity, I decided I needed to do something for ME that didn't involve being a Mom or wife!
Well, then I had a problem....I had been so focused on being a wife and mother that I had kinda forgotten myself! So, I didn't even know what to do for MYself! What a foreign concept! LOL! But after doing some soul digging, I remembered that I loved jewelry(pretty sad that I could forget that!) but rarely had the money to afford the kind of jewelry I liked. That became my focus.
So, after weeks of playing with ideas, I decided that I wanted to focus on personalized jewelry. I really liked the idea of getting into people's lives by making jewelry JUST for them!
What is your source of inspiration?
I don't really have a source....I tend to look at all the crystals, pearls, and charms I have and just play with them until a design is formed that I like! If one of my necklaces don't have any additional adornments, I just try to make the piece as vintage looking as possible!
What have you made recently?
Huh...well, the news says fall is coming....they say it, but I sure don't see it where I live! It was 90+ degrees yesterday! So, in an effort to get into the 'autumn mood', I decided to create an Autumn piece.
I wanted the piece to be simple so that it wouldn't overwhelm the pendant. But I also wanted it to capture the essence of Autumn. So, I went about choosing the crystals that I thought screamed Autumn. After they were chosen, I wrapped them in sterling silver wire and put them on a twisted sterling silver ring.
WAH LAH! A beautiful Autumn inspired necklace!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell on Etsy! A friend of mine told me out neat that site was...and I went and looked and LOVED what I saw! I could spend hours just browsing and looking at the all the creativity!
